This is a delicious coffee produced by my father Luis in our farm in Manizales, Colombia. We import the beans directly and roast them in Montreal.
This lot is a Typica variety with a Q Grader Score of 88 (a very good coffee Just to give you an idea, big box retailer coffee are around 75 points or less).
Rancho Grande is a farm located at 1900 m.a.s.l.
What to expect from this coffee?
This is not your traditional dark, bitter cup of coffee. This should be a coffee you drink when you have time to brew a delicious cup of coffee with your favourite book or enjoying a great time with family or friends.
We recommend a brewing ratio of 1:16 for pour over which means 25 grs of coffee for 400 grs of water.
This coffee is light, smooth and sweet. It goes very well as dark coffee. We recommend drinking it black and without sugar first to enjoy the true flavour of this coffee.
What makes this coffee special, in addition to its amazing flavour, is the fact Luis does everything himself. He even built his wet mill and drying station. This farm uses rainfall water in some of the process with the goal of saving drinking water.
